Inshore Bay Fishing in South Padre Island, TX

Redfish, Trout & Flounder on the Lower Laguna Madre

The Laguna Madre runs shallow and clear from South Padre Island down toward Port Brownsville. Redfish and speckled trout work the grass flats year-round. Flounder stack up before the fall run. Black drum and sheepshead hold near structure.

Capt. Cliff Fleming has been reading this water for over 50 years. He knows which flat is holding fish on a given tide, what they're eating, and how to get to them before conditions change. That's the difference between a guided trip and a day of hoping.
